Durham, NC- The North Carolina Nurses Association recently announced James E. Davis Ambulatory Surgery Center (DASC) as a re-designated recipient of its prestigious Hallmarks of Healthy Workplaces award. DASC was among the first sites originally recognized in 2006.
The Hallmarks of Healthy Workplaces program recognizes and promotes positive workplaces for nurses within North Carolina and aids health care providers in creating workplaces in which communication flows freely and nurses contribute actively to facility governance.
“The James E. Davis Ambulatory Surgical Center is honored to be receiving the Hallmarks of Healthy Workplaces award for a third time,” said Maryann Petrosky, MHA, BSN, RN, CGRN, Clinical Operations Director. “Having been one of the initial recipients in 2006, re-designated in 2009 and now in 2012, we are proud to be among those recognized for their commitment to providing excellence in patient care while nurturing and ensuring a healthy work environment for nurses. Here at DASC, staff are considered family, and as such, are encouraged and supported to be their best, so they can give their best.”
